Darlings

Hello little darlings! I'm so sorry I haven't been posting here on the blog much since Christmas.
I went away to a friends in Toronto and was with her for a few days then went and bought... a Mac Book Pro! (Yes you heard right. I am now the proud owner of Chuck. Chuck is a girl btw). And now I'm in transferring files mode. But I came in to say a little hello and Happy New Years Eve to you all!

(Thought I'd post a photo of me and my boyfriend Freddy)
Cause I love this photo *smile*

Now here's a video floating around the internet that makes me swoon like crazy.
Take a peek and you will find out why...

My two favourite actors (and singers) doing the most adorable duet known to man kind.
Can they get married and have beautiful babies already?

Once again! Happy new year!

P.S. I reached 200 followers on google friend connect! EEEP I can't thank you all enough. This means so much to me <3

What I'm wearing/new dress!

Hello my darlings!
How are you?! I'm good but super busy *gasp*! So many christmas presents to buy and I'm hopping all over the place like a little bunny trying to keep up with getting ready for christmas (one week?!) seeing my boyfriend as much as possible, planning for after christmas to see some friends in Toronto, calming down and taking yoga, posting on this here blog and eating delicious cookies! *phew* thats a lot.

Throughout all that craziness I got this darling new dress for a whopping $11! Now thats a deal if I ever saw one ;)

This outfit was just too cute! (if I  do say so myself). Its simple, yet retro, comfortable and cozy! All in one! Just what I'm always looking for in an outfit but is hard to find. I have a feeling this will be my little 'go to' outfit for now on.

What I'm Wearing:
Dress, Urban Planet (this store I don't usually shop at since a lot of the clothing is more 'teenager' oriented and I'm no regular teen.)
Belt and purse, thrifted
Cardigan, H&M
Hat, Bootlegger
Leg warmers, H&M
Oxfords, Spring
(heels in second photo) Forever 21

Do you have a go to outfit?
And how are you coping with the craziness of the holidays?

Why hello little christmas tree

We got our tree today! Took a lot of looking in our forest to find the perfect one but we found it!
We got a really tall one and chopped the top off and are going to use the rest for fire wood.
We usually name it spark.. This year I might name it Winnie, short for Winnifred.

Of course a 'what I'm wearing' was needed ;)

Boots, Urban Planet. Jeans coat and sweater, Forever 21. Hat, Bootlegger. Mittens?

TIMBER!

DIY darling fluffy clouds

Hello darlings!
Today I have a super easy and quick DIY for you!
*cue info-metrical voice* Have you ever wanted fluffy darling clouds in the comfort of you're own home?! Well now you can and without the lousy precipitation!

First off you'll need three very simple things.
1. Thread (doesn't matter the colour. I like something light so it doesn't show as much but its so thin it wont show too much and a colour could be nice)
2. Scissors.
3. Stuffing from your local craft supply store.

Let's get started! First grab your 'fluff' and separate it into pieces ranging from the size of an apple to the size of a water melon. Now shape it how you would like your cloud to look, by massaging the 'fluff' almost like you're washing your hair. If a bit is out of place just poke it till it looks about right.
Now get two arms length of thread and cut it. Thread your needle only a little bit (you do not want two even sides of thread with your needle in the middle.) Now just grab a piece of fluff and on one side thread the needle all the way through. Now go through it again on the other side so it somewhat resembles a U with the fluff in the bottom middle of the U.
Now just make a knot at the top of the two pieces of thread and tape it with clear tape to where ever you like best on your ceiling!
I like to do different sizes of thread. Just measuring with the eye, so they aren't all at the same level.
Now enjoy!
There you have it! Pretty clouds in the comfort of your own home!

I love Elycia ♥

Hello there!

I was a lucky girl and had Elycia stay a night at my home for the blogger meet up.
We went out for a nice lunch and then some Vegan cake at a local cafe (no photos sadly... we ate it up too quick to snap a photo ;)!
We (my parents and myself) loved having you and hope you can come again for some thrifting goodness!
Here are some photos of Elycia and myself at the lake by my house.

Jumping photos in big rubber boots anyone?

We both love to take photos of people taking photos, hehe!

Hope you enjoyed a peek into our little visit!

Someone say blogger meet up?!

Holy cuteness batman!
I had the pleasure of seeing some wonderful local (and one not so local) bloggers for a blogger meet-up at my mothers art show at the Art Gallery Of Peterborough!
We all met up for the once a week tea service thats a part of my mothers show. We sat for a book reading and got cookies and tea. After we all got to chat away and have a photoshoot.
Vintage aprons and polaroid cameras and sweet souls oh my!

Left to right front to back.

Lucky brought her little sweetie Claire and she got to play with some polaroids and get in some of the pictures too.

Five beautiful ladies with all beautiful tattoos on their left arms!

All in all it was a day of joy, happiness and new friends.
I hope we can have one again soon ladies! Too much fun to be had!
