Why hello!

I haven't posted in a little bit because I have been pretty busy. And just got a strange flu so I have been resting lots!

Heres what I'm wearing.

So I have really been getting into lace this year.

Its very versatile and works with everything, giving your outfit a simple touch of lace can do wonders if you feel its missing a lil something something ;)

And Katie's idea to braid it into her hair made me swoon.

because getting mail is ever so exciting

My mother had a lady contact her saying that she had a bunch of vintage goodies. Mary (the lady's) mother taught a home ec class. so she had tons of Rick Rack, patterns, buttons, and many others.

She decided to send it to a good home that would love and enjoy everything to the farthest extent.

Here's only what we can guess is what was the beginning of a children's quilt.

It's a bunch of little hand embroidered animals (swoon)!!

My mother was ever so kind and let me have a few of the baby animal squares for art. 

Do you get this warm fuzzy feeling in your heart when a package comes in the mail?

what I'm wearing /new shoes

This summer is wonderful.

Even though there is currently a heat wave..

Its warm, Sunny, sweet, relaxing and just perfect in every way.

I just had to share this outfit post, along with my new shoes! 

I have been waiting for these shoes to go on sale for weeks. 

And  they did! $20 is a sick price for the quality and comfort of them.

They are from Spring, and I must say I think I have a new favourite shoe store.

They didn't have my size but I ordered these for no extra cost right to my door (I like no extra cost ;).

They are so comfy, and I have been wanting a pair of oxfords for quite some time!

garage sales make me happy

Every weekend my dad mother and I go garage sailing. 

This means waking up at 6:30 and getting to sales at around 7:30.

As we like to call it, we had the garage sale goddess on our side this past weekend.

This super rad record player was $3!

I had fallen asleep in the car for about half an hour and when I woke up my parents handed me an old SLR camera they got for $2 and a lens to go with it for another $2 from an old german man.

They also got me a Polaroid Sport Cam and a Polaroid Time-Zero one step.

And in the background you can see two out of three old ballet pictures, $1 for the set.

I was gone, and now I'm back

So if you're a reader of my blog you may have noticed that I haven't posted for the past while. Thats because I have been in a stained glass class. Now take a deep breath before I tell you what I made...

Alright, so I made an SX-70 polaroid camera AND a pac man along with the ghosts.

They all turned out more that wonderful and I am happy beyond words! I will post photos as soon as I take off the wax that keeps everything clean and perfect.

Heres a few photos from my week.

And one of the best parts? I got to see my best friends from last year! They live in Toronto so I don't get to see them. And my fab friend Nathan knit me a Cup Cake! Well actually its for all of us (Rebekah Sydney and myself) so we shall be sending it via mail to each other every month with photos.

if there ever was such thing as too many strawberries

Have you ever heard of Gleaning?

It's pretty much finishing off fields when the crop is at it's ripest. 

And it's all free.

The other day we went gleaning for strawberries and got enough to last us a year of frozen strawberry smoothies. Yum.

So I will highly recommend trying this out for yourself :) They have it for everything! Beans, peas, berries, corn... etc!

a girl whom loves bunnies old mirrors and daisies

I am a girl who loves bunnies of all sorts. As well as daisies and vintage mirrors.

They both make me smile uncontrollably.

What makes you smile?
