Today is a day where I get to dream of what my room will soon be.

My parents have agreed to let me re-do my room!

I have big plans for this room *wink*

Nothing like a new fresh coat of paint (to be more precise turquoise and white).

Today I'm wearing a green vintage dress that Caren got me,

a black cardigan and new oxford heels from spring ^_^

oh urban outfitters how I love thee

Oh dear.

 I know for a fact that the day I move out I will go to Urban outfitters and have a moment of skipping and singing spice girls songs (yep, they are my go to happy music) with a train of people walking with all of my pretty things for my apartment behind me, thinking I'm crazy :)

I love this store too much.

Yep I have already picked out what I want for my rooms (I am a little crazy when it comes to decor ;)

a little (or rather large) post

I hope everyone had a wonderful christmas.

No matter what you celebrate I hope you had a fantastic day :)

I know I did!

It truly was perfect for me, one because I unlike most girls, am not a big fan of christmas.

I don't enjoy getting a lot of stuff that I don't end up using.

So this year my parents decided to get me a few of the things that I really wanted and it, let me tell you, was perfect.

I got from my brother...

An i phone?!?! He only had this one for two months before he got his iphone 4 so he gave me his old one :) Eeep!

 And my parents got me a Diana Dreamer!

Oh my goodness this has been on my list for a loooong time!

Its even better in person <3

My mom remembered me talking about these adorable earmuffs from H&M in the kids department (they fit even though they are for 5-9 year olds ;)

And this adorable little book called' french Girlish Mood'

Can I just say wow? Yeah my dad knows me WAY too well!

And I got the makeup I have been drooling over for weeks.

And a cute wallet we got in Hamilton!

My dog Max is happy.. can you tell?

He got the most lovely bed and set of toys (which may I add he has already ripped 3 limbs off? hehe)

Last but not least I got the forth Scott Pilgrim book, Coraline, Scott Pilgrim movie and the forth season of friends :)

Christmas eve.

The time to watch silly movies with family.

The time  to spend with the people you love under the tree guessing what the box with the snowman wrapping paper is.

Yesterday Caren came over for a nice christmas eve, eve visit.

I miss you my darling vintage photo booths

Do you know what I miss? Well from the Title I'm sure you can guess...

I miss those vintage photo booths in malls.

My friends and I used to go in them on hot summer days and take silly photos with a) a white background  b) a navy blue background c) an awesome orange background.

I miss them so much! But I'm going to tell you a secret...

La Photo Cabin.

It's all in french (and I do not know much french at ALL) But its the most darling website I have ever seen!

Caren showed it to me one day and I was hooked! I Adore going in my room pumping Florence And The Machine and taking silly photos.

I think y'all should go and check out this website and take some silly photos!

Haha yes a few of these photos I'm not quite ready as you can tell ;)

my sweet sunday

Hello everyone!

Aaahhhh today Is so relaxing. Last night we went out to a friends for dinner and I had ribs for the very first time! I'm mostly a vegetarian except for chicken and turkey... ok and now maybe some ribs too haha! 

Damn those things were good! I really do try my best to be a good half vegetarian :)

Humm... why I'm talking so much about last night and my virgin rib dinner I have no clue.

SOOOO Today is sunday! I quite enjoy sundays. They usually involve warm cozy sweat pants (I just got new ones from my dance studio and they are so comfy) lots of crazy silly dancing in my room to some indie songs and Watching tv with a cozy blanket and eating lots of cookies ^_^

Oh and cuddling up with my dog Max cause he's a cutie.

a fresh new 'a girl named astrid'

I have been thinking. 

Every night before I go to sleep its what I think about.

Fresh, crisp, simple.

Those three words describe a lot.

I am going to re-do 'a girl named astrid' in the next few months, Fresh, crisp and simple is what I'm going for.

But don't worry! I wont be changing my way of writing, photos and all that jazz ;) Thats me and I would never change that. I'm just wanting it to be more simple and more about the posts, photos and a happy lovely world. It hopefully when done will be a place where you can go to just enjoy. No silly stuff. It will be relaxing fun and loving ^_^

So I'm just warning all lovely beautiful readers that if you are reading my blog and something seems a little not right, thats just me trying to make it perfect.

In other new Christmas is coming! I finally got around to getting cozy, listening to some christmas records and getting in the holiday spirit!

A few days ago I made some bunting from a vintage book.

It turned out fantastic and I'm really loving the way it looks under my loft bed :) I hopefully will do a DIY for this simple craft some time soon!

When I had my photo shoot with Brooke I had an idea to make a little fort out of a vintage quilt my great grandmother made :) 

The photos turned out too dark so they did not work but It was still an idea. I will do it again in the spring outside when there is better lighting.

I left it in my room because its such a cozy little place to sit when it's a snow storm outside and you get to sit and read comic books inside it ^_^
